My husband loves the fajitas and I love the chimichangas so it's hard to break out of our usuals, but everything we've had has been great including the margaritas. They have an expansive menu with appetizers, daily lunch specials and combo plates, and specialty entrees. The salsa is fresh with plenty of cilantro which makes it pretty much perfect. There are lots of different section for seating so it feels intimate. There's outdoor seating also. Service is great. It's one of our favorite places in Poplar Bluff.

Hands down some of the best Mexican style food you will find, anywhere. Francisco & family have several locations (Kennett, Van Buren, Columbia) but this was their first location, in 1997. EVERYTHING on the menu is first rate, and the cheese dip is without peer. Whether it's steak, chicken, pork or fish based, all their offerings are exquisite. For those not familiar with the area, they have a sister restaurant in Maya's, and also a more fast fresh Mex place called Taco Taco. All are in Poplar Bluff & all are highly recommended. SALUD!

Authentic Mexican food. Taste great and good prices. My husband ordered a beef chimichanga and was brought chicken but he really liked it.

Great food. Arroz con pollo amazing. Hot sauce good. Carne asada especial also good. We got it to go just before their closing time and they were very accommodating and friendly.

While I don't share the other 5 star fans... Wednesday night, in town for work craving mexican. I asked to sit at the bar not knowing id be sat in a big empty room by myself. Margaritas were okay (made the 2 stars) and my fajita taco salad was pretty bland. The salad had very little chicken and a LOT of onions and sour cream. Probably won't go back knowing Taco Bell is right next to the hotel!

This is the best restaurant in the Poplar Bluff area, and the best Mexican food I have ever had, from anywhere in the United States. The waitstaff is always on top of things, the food is always hot, fresh and made to order. Want something not on the menu? No problems. Just ask. They are there to please. Can't decide on what to order between two items? No problem. They can give you a half size of each for the price of one full entrée. This place is just wonderful. If you ever catch the owners they are always super polite. The manager is wonderful and always makes sure everything is perfect.

The best Mexican restaurant around. Been my go to since the first day it opened. I am fan of everything they do except their fish tacos.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
